Felt clergy hat made of 100% wool. The size number is the perimeter of each hat.

Authentic monastic product of Mount Athos.

The kalimavkion is the black, tall, hard and cylindrical headgear (hat) of Orthodox priests and monks. Priests kalimavkion has an angled brim, while monks is lower without a brim. Bishops and Archimandrites place a black cloth over the cap which falls over the shoulders and is called epanokalimavkion. The kalymmavchi was first used in the 1600s during the tenure of the seventh Patriarch of the Russian Church, Nikon.
